Acceptable Use Policy

1. Scope

This Acceptable Use Policy ("AUP") applies to all content generated, submitted, published, or stored through OpenMystery ("the Platform"). This includes:

  • Text: Mathematical problems, solutions, comments, code
  • User inputs: Prompts and instructions submitted to AI-powered features
  • AI outputs: Content generated by AI models on the Platform

By accessing or using our Platform, you agree to comply with this policy. Violations may result in account suspension or termination.

2. Content Standards and Prohibited Categories

The Platform explicitly prohibits generating the following six categories of content:

  • Pornography / NSFW content
  • Violence / Gore
  • Hate speech
  • Child Sexual Abuse Material (CSAM)
  • Deepfakes / Impersonation
  • Copyright or trademark infringement

2.1 Zero Tolerance — Immediate Action

The following content, once identified, will be immediately removed with accounts terminated and reported to authorities:

  • Child sexual exploitation content (CSAM) or any sexual content involving minors
  • Content promoting or assisting terrorism, extremism, or mass violence
  • Instructions for creating weapons of mass destruction
  • Content advocating genocide or ethnic hatred
  • Non-consensual deepfake sexual content targeting real individuals

2.2 General Prohibited Behaviors

  • Generating or spreading misinformation or rumors
  • Impersonating real individuals, brands, or organizations
  • Infringing on intellectual property, portrait rights, or privacy
  • Representing AI-generated content as human-created professional work
  • Bulk generating spam or fraudulent content
  • Using jailbreak prompts to bypass Platform safety mechanisms
  • Submitting false, misleading, or deliberately incorrect mathematical problems
  • Claiming ownership of problems or solutions that are not yours
  • Manipulating voting, rating, or verification systems

3. Content Moderation

The Platform employs automated content moderation to detect and prevent violations.

3.1 Automated Moderation (Real-time)

All user inputs and AI outputs are scanned by safety filters in real-time:

  • Input filtering: Keyword, semantic, and intent analysis on prompts
  • Output filtering: Real-time safety assessment of generated content
  • Usage pattern analysis: Monitoring for anomalous API call behavior

Safety filters used include OpenAI Moderation API and proprietary models.

3.2 Human Review

Auto-flagged content enters a human review queue. User reports are investigated by our Trust & Safety team. Reviewers complete content safety training and sign confidentiality agreements.

4. Reporting Violations

You may report content or behavior that violates this policy:

When reporting, include as much detail as possible: URLs, screenshots, and descriptions of the violation. All reporter identities are kept strictly confidential. Malicious or false reports will be logged and acted upon.

6. Enforcement Actions

Violations of this policy may result in the following actions:

7. Appeals

If you disagree with an enforcement action, you may submit an appeal within 15 days of receiving the notice:

  • Processing time: Within 10 business days
  • Review process: An independent reviewer who was not involved in the original decision will re-examine the case

8. Transparency and Policy Updates

We publish content safety transparency reports periodically. Significant changes to this policy will be communicated at least 15 days in advance. Continued use of the Platform after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
